Premium Chart – custom colors

I am having a tough time figuring out how to get custom colors for my pie and doughnut charts. I have tried making changes in a variety of places but nothing has worked so far.

I would suppose that changing the fill color under the y-axis or adding hex values separated by commas would do it but so far nothing is registering color.
